Nawkaw has been colouring brick around the world since
1982. Created to help blend areas that didn't match, Nawkaw's
brick stains have been used in commercial, residential
and government applications with proven durability, dependability,
and customer satisfaction.
Depending on the project, a number of different stain
colours may be used to achieve the natural variations that
can occur in a masonry wall. The base stain colours are
mixed to achieve a total colour change or blend, based
upon the requirements of the architect, builder or homeowner.
Many colours are custom created onsite and application
is performed by our fully trained and professional crew.
The application process consists of verifying that the
brick is neutralized; if it has been treated with any
form of chemical/acid wash; and that all brick and mortar
are structurally sound and fully intact. Alkali or efflorescence
is treated with proper neutralizing compounds, as recommended
by the manufacturers of the affected masonry products,
before application begins. We can apply our products at
temperatures between 25 and 110 degrees Fahrenheit, with
the masonry surface dry before work begins.
Nawkaw can change the colour of your brick or mortar, to
